About Manidifrà

Manidifrà develops typical bags and coffees, fashionable creations that are designed to accompany and enrich the daily life of women. Handmade bags, coffee and accessories, a declination of a traditional but also innovative Sicily inspired by the sun, nature and the Mediterranean. The original Sicilian dwarf palm Coffe processed and decorated by hand, hand-sewn, embellished with fine details and Made in Sicily. Our experience and the expertise of the people who collaborate with us allow us to create pure, 100% Sicilian products, both for the raw materials and for the workmanship. Through our still contemporary and stylish fashion items, the emotions and styles of the past are relived, revisited to pay homage to today's woman.

Manidifrà was born from Francesca's passion for Sicily and craftsmanship. She is a merchant in the clothing sector and today she is the creator of her own collection of bags, coffee and accessories inspired by Sicilian origins. From an entirely handcrafted work the bags are born, crocheted with natural materials such as raphia, natural or viscose and polyester cord. The coffees are always handmade with the use of natural Sicilian dwarf palm and the application of jute flowers, shells, mirrors and precious medallions. Between bright colors and soft shapes, Manidifrà celebrates Sicilian spirit while always maintaining an elegant and chic profile.

The coffa in the history of Sicily

In history, the coffa was born as a simple basket used to feed horses or to transport household goods. Even today during the holidays it can still be seen on Sicilian carts parading in village festivals. From a simple object of daily rural use, the coffa has gradually changed its use and, skilfully decorated, has been transformed into a bag; they decorate it in a truly artistic way with the use of mirrors, ribbons, typical images, doilies, mini tambourines, miniature fruit, creating real unique pieces appreciated all over the world.
